快猫app短视 has been named one of the most military friendly universities in the country in聽Military Advanced Education鈥檚聽2012 Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities.聽聽Georgia Southern will be featured in the December 2011 issue of the publication. The honor鈥檚 timing is significant as Georgia Southern celebrates Veteran鈥檚 Day on campus today.聽聽As Georgia Southern has continued to grow in reputation and size, more and more members of the military including active, reserve, veterans and their dependents choose Georgia Southern for their college education.聽聽聽In fact, more than 600 are currently pursuing their degrees at the Statesboro, Ga. campus or online. 鈥淕eorgia Southern鈥檚 online degree programs have opened up an excellent opportunity for members of the military to pursue a respected degree on their own schedule, whether at home or deployed,鈥� said Ted Moore, Ph.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs who is also a military vet who was awarded the Purple Heart.聽聽鈥淕eorgia Southern鈥檚 location is ideal for soldiers who are stationed in Georgia.聽聽The state is home to 15 military installations including Ft. Stewart, Ft. Benning and Robins Air Force Base.聽聽We have also had soldiers choose to earn their degrees online after being deployed to places like Afghanistan.鈥� Moore says that Georgia Southern will be focusing on the military even more as the University continues to grow.聽聽鈥淲e believe that we not only offer a respected degree, but provide the flexibility that members of the military, veterans and their dependents are looking for.聽聽They have extremely demanding schedules and they not only want flexibility, but they want to know they are earning degrees that will pay dividends once they graduate.聽聽Being recognized as one of the most military friendly universities in the country is not just an honor, but a sign that Georgia Southern is committed to our men and women in uniform.鈥�
