About Us

Start Strong at Georgia Southern

University College provides a supportive starting point for students working toward a Georgia Southern bachelor鈥檚 degree.

Students admitted through University College are fully admitted, degree-seeking Georgia Southern students from day one. They have access to campus life, student services, organizations, athletics and the full Eagle Nation experience while receiving added structure and personalized academic support.

Students begin in an associate-level pathway connected to their intended area of study. With smaller classes, dedicated advisors and clear academic milestones, University College helps students build confidence, complete courses that support their degree goals and transition into a bachelor鈥檚 program once they meet the required criteria.

Students may also choose to complete an associate degree along the way, creating an additional credential as they continue toward graduation.

A Pathway Built for Success

University College is designed to expand access, strengthen academic preparation and help more students stay on track toward a Georgia Southern degree.

It is not a separate university experience or a lesser form of admission. It is a structured pathway that gives students additional support at the beginning of their college journey.
