Three Professors Receive Large Grant to Aid Research
Three Georgia Southern professors have recently been awarded a more than $233,000 grant from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to aid their research project titled 鈥淚dentification of the sources of pathogens in wetland sediments and their influence on beach water quality.鈥� Funded for one year, research is now underway.

U.S. National Tick Collection Temporarily Closes to Visitors; Re-opening Scheduled for Spring 2015
The U.S. National Tick Collection (USNTC) at 快猫app短视 is temporarily closed to visitors and tours as it prepares for expansion and relocation. The collection will relocate to the Math and Physics building in an effort to provide additional space for specimens, storage, research and improved fire protection. The expected completion date is Spring 2015.

OneGeorgia Authority Announces $500,000 Grant for Business Incubation and Workforce Development
The OneGeorgia Authority, a financial partner for economic development in Georgia, has announced its decision to grant a $500,000 OneGeorgia Equity Award for the advancement of workforce development in the Statesboro-Bulloch County region. The project, titled 鈥淪tatesboro-Bulloch Regional Career and Workforce Initiative,鈥� is a collaboration among 快猫app短视, the Development Authority of Bulloch County and Ogeechee Technical College.
