The Department of Communication Arts has several opportunities for alumni and friends of the Department and College to be a part of providing a world-class education to future communications professionals, including serving on the Multimedia Communications and/or Public Relations advisory boards. The Department is located in Sanford Hall and is seeking your support in producing graduates from a contemporary program who are prepared for entry-level work.
Our advisory boards are comprised primarily of alumni, but also include 鈥渇riends of Georgia Southern.鈥� Would you like to serve on an advisory board?

All contributions made to Endowed Projects (those beginning with 鈥�3鈥�) are added to the corpus, or principal, of the endowment. The endowed principal may never be spent. Income earned on the principal is used to fund projects or programs. The Foundation鈥檚 endowed projects are jointly administered by department chairs or area directors and the Foundation. Disbursements from endowment earnings are made only when requested by the appropriate department chair or area director. Endowed projects are typically used to fund scholarships or professorships.
All contributions to聽Restricted Projects聽(those beginning with 鈥�0鈥�) may be used to fund activities and聽programs. Restricted projects have been established for most academic and administrative areas on聽campus. Disbursements from restricted projects must be initiated by the various program directors or聽department chairs and approved by the appropriate academic dean or vice president. A minimum聽balance of $1,000 is required to establish a new project.聽Unrestricted contributions made to the Greater University Fund are disbursed across campus through聽a budgetary process which is approved and monitored by the University Vice Presidents and the聽快猫app短视 Foundation Board of Directors.
Dr. Pamela Bourland-Davis鈥檚 colleagues across 快猫app短视 and in the College of Arts and Humanities remain deeply saddened by her passing. Dr. Pam, as she was called by those who knew her, was a cherished member of the Department of Communication Arts and an inspiration to generations of students and colleagues.
In honor of Dr. Bourland-Davis鈥� legacy in the academy and the many students she taught, mentored, and had a profound impact on, the university has established the Dr. Pam Bourland-Davis Memorial Fund. This memorial fund ensures that her passion for Public Relations education and a commitment to student success will continue to impact students鈥� lives.
