Student Affairs advances student success through transformative engagement. The student learning outcomes outline learning goals from engaging in the co curricular environment. Student engagement enhances student success; the impact reports document the many ways that student involvement in registered student organizations, campus activities, and programs advance student success. Involved students are successful students!
Student Learning Outcomes
The purpose of the student learning outcomes is to clearly articulate the intended learning goals for students in co-curricular programs. By defining these learning domains, this framework promotes continued improvement and enhanced learning in the following domains: Career Readiness, Community Engagement, Health & Wellness, Identity, Belonging & Purpose, and Leadership Development.
Career Readiness
Students will articulate the skills, strengths, knowledge, and experiences that support their career development and demonstrate readiness for professional success during and after college.
Community Engagement
Students will participate in addressing community-identified needs through service and volunteerism, demonstrating responsible engagement and contributing to the public good.
Health & Wellness
Students will engage in behaviors and contribute to environments that promote holistic wellness, reduce personal and community risk, and support a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
Identity, Belonging & Purpose
Students will examine their personal identity and lived experiences to foster meaningful connections, build a sense of belonging, and strengthen their purpose and persistence within the campus community.
Leadership Development
Students will strengthen their communication, self-awareness, and collaborative skills, building their capacity to lead groups, organizations, and communities with integrity, confidence, mutual respect, and lasting impact.
